PEI Connectors clients are invited to participate in an upcoming in-person event:  

Discover Rural PEI: A visit to Montague, PEI

Date: Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021

Time: 9:30 am – 11:30 am

In the afternoon, clients are invited to do business visits and sightseeing!

Location: Cavendish Farms Wellness Centre, 21 Sullivan Dr, Montague PE C0A 1R0

Please join us for a visit to Montague. The community of Montague is a former town within the recently amalgamated town of Three Rivers. Montague is the largest population centre in Kings County PEI and offers many retail businesses and services. Come and learn about additional services available in this rural area, including a presentation on business workshops and courses available.

There will be welcome and Information sessions on Support Services offered in Rural PEI.

- Martina MacDonald: Executive Director for Community Business Development Corp and General Manager for the Rural Action Centre, Montague PEI. Overview of Support Services.

- Emma Gamble: Client Information Officer, CBDC. Business Workshops and Courses.

- Bradshaw Campbell: Employment Officer, Skills PEI. Support and programming for job seekers, employers, and organizations.

- Sandra Hodder-Acorn: Labour Market Project Lead, Eastern PEI Chamber of Commerce. Rural PEI Labour Market Project and Benefits of joining local Chamber of Commerce.

- Lindee Gallant: Eastern PEI Community Navigator. Community Navigator Program.

- Mohammed Rakhshan: Sleep Concept, 518 Main St., Montague . Newcomer entrepreneur.

Following these informative presentations, you are invited to visit local PEI Connector client businesses. 

Please note that clients will be doing the visits using their own mode of transportation. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we cannot offer transportation to clients.

In addition to these businesses, please participate in Discover Rural PEI: A visit to Montague contest.

You will be given a list of businesses and a map. Visit a business and get a stamp. When you are finished, take a picture of your completed list, and send it to your PEI Connectors Program Officer. Whoever visits the most businesses will win a fabulous prize. If there is a tie, names will be entered into a draw for a winner. Contest closes at 5:00pm, November 23rd, 2021. Please send a picture of your completed sheet to your Program Officer by noon on Wednesday, November 24th. The winner will be announced on our social media.

This event is open exclusively to PEI Connectors clients.
