About our presenter: Shawn McCarvill

Shawn is the President of Slemon Park Corporation. He worked with Slemon Park Corporation in the early 1990s as its first Chief Financial Officer and rejoined the company in 2008 as President.

Slemon Park is the home of the Aerospace industry on PEI.

The Slemon Park property, formerly known as Canadian Forces Base Summerside, was an air force base for 50 years – dating back to WWII, and is now a business park focusing on Aerospace and Training, and a residential neighborhood of the City of Summerside.

Shawn has worked in Ottawa, Charlottetown, Summerside and New York City during his career, including as Chief Financial Officer and President for a number of companies on PEI. Shawn is a CPA, CA who grew up in Kinkora, PEI, is a graduate of UPEI and currently lives in Kensington, PEI.
