Explore how to connect with the community through River Clyde Arts (RCA):
River Clyde Arts creates welcoming spaces where newcomers can build relationships, discover local culture, and become part of something meaningful.
In this session, you’ll be introduced to RCA’s three signature events and learn practical ways to get involved, whether you’re interested in attending events, participating in workshops, or collaborating with the arts community.
In this session, you will:
● Discover River Clyde Arts’ three signature events:
-The River Clyde Pageant (summer outdoor theatre),
-Sharing the Field (fall harvest festival), and
-The River Clyde Solstice Walk (winter celebration)
●Learn how to participate as an audience member or workshop attendee through accessible, free opportunities to experience PEI culture and connect with Islanders.
● Explore sponsorship opportunities that help businesses build visibility while supporting community-driven arts
● Understand how to share your skills as a workshop leader or collaborator
● Hear from other newcomers and community members about their experiences with RCA
● Connect with local artists, volunteers, and community builders in a welcoming, informal environment
Whether you're looking to meet new people, explore Island culture, support local arts, or share your own expertise, this session offers a welcoming introduction to PEI’s community arts scene.
Presenter: Megan Stewart, Co-Founder & Artistic Director, River Clyde Arts
Megan Stewart is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of River Clyde Arts, a community arts organization in New Glasgow, PEI. Since 2016, she has led three annual events that bring over 3,500 Islanders together: the River Clyde Pageant (summer theatre), Sharing the Field (fall festival), and the River Clyde Solstice Walk (winter celebration). Megan is passionate about creating welcoming cultural experiences where everyone belongs.
