Successfully entering a new workforce involves more than a strong resume. This interactive session helps participants understand workplace expectations, communication styles, and relationship practices that contribute to success in Canadian organizations.
The session will be interactive and practical, focusing on three key areas:
• Understanding the Canadian Workplace: Exploring workplace culture, expectations, and some of the unwritten norms newcomers may encounter.
• Communicating with Confidence: Understanding cultural differences in communication and developing practical skills for communicating with colleagues and leaders, asking questions, speaking up, and navigating feedback.
• Building Connection & Belonging: Developing positive professional relationships while recognizing the strengths, experiences, and perspectives newcomers bring to the workplace.
Participant discussion, practical workplace scenarios, reflection, and interactive activities will be incorporated throughout the session.
