Join us in person or online for an information session where you will learn about the services offered by both PEI Career Development Services (CDS) and WorkPEI, and how they can support your job search journey.
First, we will be joined by Rosemond MacDougall, Client Services Coordinator at CDS, and Dean Getson, Program Coordinator at CDS for a presentation on PEI Career Development Services (CDS) - www.cdspei.ca

After, we will be joined by Danielle Conklin & Chelsey Compton, Client Engagement Officers with WorkPEI, to learn more about the services WorkPEI provides. Everyone is welcome to attend, if you have a pre-existing WorkPEI account, or if you haven’t heard of the service before!
The following topics will be covered:
WorkPEI is a website that provides a job board, searchable database of job seekers, information on labour-based programs and services, and labour market statistics for Prince Edward Island, Canada.
♦ Default/Home page features
♦ Resource section (students, employers, job seekers, and newcomers)
♦ Labour Market Information: (Economic Dashboard, Job Listing Reports, PEI Employers database (WorkPEI employers only), and resources.
♦ “What is LMI video” by LMIC, LMI Activity
♦ Help tab (FAQ, About Us, Contact Us etc.)
♦ Walk through the registration process providing tips along the way.
♦ A walk through of the Dashboard features (for job seekers: Profile, Job Alerts, Manage Applications, Bookmarks, and Account information).
♦ Creating a sample Profile for job seekers and tips on what and how to fill out different fields
♦ Walk through a job listing to demonstrate the information found, NOC Codes and how to apply to a job.
♦ Showing what Employer sees and what the Profile and “Quick Pitch” field looks to Employers.

Rosemond MacDougall
Rosemond MacDougall is the Client Services Coordinator for CDS. In addition to supporting staff and clients at all CDS sites in her current role, Rosemond is also a Certified Career Development Practitioner and worked as a CDP for many years directly supporting PEI job seekers and career changers.
Danielle Conklin & Chelsey Compton
Danielle Conklin and Chelsey Compton are Client Engagement Officers with WorkPEI. Both, Danielle, and Chelsey began the role of Client Engagement Officers in November of 2022. In this role our work focuses on supporting employers, job seekers, industry associations, sector councils, secondary and post-secondary schools, and other organizations to educate and train clients about WorkPEI.ca.
Danielle has a Business Administration diploma and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Holland College. She is currently studying online part-time at Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) to obtain her Bachelor of Business Administration. Danielle joined the Government of Prince Edward Island in 2020 working part-time with IT Shared Services and the Public Service Commission (PSC). Later in 2021, was hired full-time by the PSC until starting her new role with WorkPEI.
Chelsey has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Prince Edward Island. She is currently working part-time towards a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Leadership online through the University of Fredericton. Chelsey has been employed with the Government of Prince Edward Island since 2019 working under the Department of Justice and Public Safety with Community and Correctional Services, as well as the PEI Emergency Measures Organization prior to starting her new role with WorkPEI.
